Lynne Toupin has led and managed a range of national non-profit organizations over a 25-year span, including the National Anti-Poverty Organization, the Canadian Cooperative Association and the National Human Resources Council for the Non-profit Sector.

She has also been part of several initiatives to address issues and bring prominence to the voluntary and non-profit sector. She was the Consultations Manager for the Panel on Governance and Accountability in the Voluntary Sector (Broadbent Panel), a member of the Voluntary Sector Roundtable and Co-Chair of the Voluntary Sector Initiative’s Joint Table to create the Accord and Codes for Good Practice on Funding and Policy Dialogue. She currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Philanthropist.

In 2011 Lynne started her own consulting business, focusing on organizational capacity development, governance and strategic planning. Her clients include non-profits, government departments, consumer co-operatives and private sector companies.

Prior to working in the non-profit sector, Lynne worked in the field of education as a teacher, school principal, curriculum consultant and Special Assistant to the Minister of Education and Post-Secondary Training.

She spends half the year living by the sea in Shediac, New Brunswick and the other half in Ottawa.
